There is a new addition to the Bellator MMA Welterweight Division because Austin Vanderford has signed a multi-fight contract with the promotion. Vanderford made the announcement himself during a recent appearance on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, it is unknown yet when the fighter will debut with Bellator MMA.
A short time after the announcement, both Vanderford and Bellator MMA would post the following on their respective Twitter accounts:

Vanderford is currently undefeated as a professional MMA fighter, with his most notable victory coming over Angelo Trevino on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 13. Vanderford is also a former Cage Sport Welterweight Champion, defeating Ben Fodor by unanimous decision to claim the gold in October of 2017. Vanderford may be best known as the husband of UFC fighter Paige VanZant, as the duo got married earlier this year.
