Bellator MMA Veteran Satoshi Ishii Signs With KSW MMA

Satoshi Ishii is making his way to KSW MMA as the fighter has signed a multi-fight deal with the Poland-based MMA promotion. Ishii is a Bellator MMA veteran and has an extensive career that has seen him fight all over the world, as well as capture an Olympic gold medal. Ishii, in his twenty seven fight professional MMA career, has picked up notable wins over Jerome Le Banner, Tim Sylvia, Sean McCorkle, Kerry Schall, Pedro Rizzo, Jeff Monson, Kazuyuki Fujita, Phillip De Fries, Heath Herring and more.

Ishii had previously announced that he had signed with the PFL, it is unknown at this time if Ishii will compete for both promotions or just KSW MMA.

Japanese martial arts legend Satoshi Ishii (19-8-1) has officially signed with KSW.

After winning a gold medal in judo at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Ishii turned his attention to MMA in 2009. Since then he has registered wins against the likes of Tim Sylvia, Jeff Monson, Pedro Rizzo, Heath Herring, and even holds a win over current KSW heavyweight champion Phil De Fries. In total he has eleven stoppage victories.

"I am happy welcome Ishii to KSW," said KSW CEO Martin Lewandowski. "He is one on the finest martial artists on the planet. His credentials in judo speak for themselves and has become a force in MMA with wins over KSW, UFC, ADCC, and K-1 champions. I am very excited to see him step foot into the KSW arena and see what he produces."

The 32-year-old enters KSW having won his past four fights, all via first round stoppage, and news regarding his debut will be released soon.
