UFC 280 is shaping up to be one of the best fight cards of the year so far. Dillashaw for the UFC bantamweight title and an incredible bantamweight fight between former champion Petr Yan and Sean O'Malley.

Another one of the great fights which is scheduled on the card is Beneil Dariush vs Mateusz Gamrot which is a very important fight for the lightweight division.

Dariush today confirmed to MMA Fighting that he will officially be serving as the back up fighter to the main event at UFC 280 despite being scheduled to fight on the same card against Gamrot.

This is once again very good planning by the UFC as they will certainly not want a repeat of what went down this past weekend at UFC 279 where they had to re-shuffle the top three fights all around.
