The UFC Performance Institute has been getting rave reviews from the UFC roster ever since it opened its doors a few months back.

Another fighter who can be added to the list of those giving the institute rave reviews is current middle division fighter Brad Tavares.

“You get access to these high, high-level people,” Tavares told MMA Junkie Radio. “Those guys are very, very good at what they do. They’ll have regular things there because they also have the UFC front office people that come through, but they also make health-conscious type of meals for fighters. That place is amazing. I don’t get to get there for breakfast much, but after my morning workouts, I go there for lunch. I’ll eat and, if I’m still hungry, I’ll go get seconds. And then I’ll take something to go for later.”

Tavares has actually worked with the performance institute as he prepared for his last two bouts against Elias Theodorou and Thales Leites.

As far as his next Octagon appearances goes, the middleweight contender has a former divisional champion he wants to battle next.

“Depending on how that fight goes, I would love to fight somebody like Anderson (Silva),” Tavares said. “He has a name. He’s a legend. I think that would be an awesome opportunity for me. A win over him? That’d be huge.”

Silva is currently slated to headline UFC Fight Night Shanghai against TUF champion Kelvin Gastelum, that fight is set for November.
