A welterweight division affair is the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night Austin card as Brian Camozzi is in action against Geoff Neal.
Camozzi (7-4-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped fights to the duo of Randy Brown and Chad Laprise. Camozzi did go undefeated during a three fight stint in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) and none of those bouts in that promotion went the distance. Camozzi is the brother of UFC veteran Chris Camozzi, who has a record of 10-10-0 during his two runs in the promotion (23-14-0 overall).
Neal (8-2-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Neal competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 3, defeating Chase Waldon by first round TKO. Neal has seen his last five MMA bouts end via TKO and the competitor has a record of 4-1-0 in those fights.
UFC Fight Night Austin takes place on Sunday, February 18 from the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas with Donald Cerrone and Yancy Medeiros headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
