UFC featherweight contenders Bryce Mitchell and Edson Barboza have verbally agreed to a matchup at a yet-to-be-announced UFC Fight Night event on March 5.
MMA Junkie's Farah Hannoun and Mike Bohn were the first to report the news of the bout, but the promotion has yet to officially confirm it themselves. Mitchell is undefeated currently as a pro at 14-0 and has won all five of his Octagon appearances. He beat Andre Fili via a unanimous decision back at UFC Vegas 12 in October 2020 in his most recent outing. Barboza on the other hand is 2-2 since dropping down to 145-pounds and will try to rebound from a third-round TKO loss to Giga Chikadze back at UFC Vegas 35.
