Championship Vacated And Two More Title Fights Added To WSOF 35

Marlon Moraes has vacated the WSOF Bantamweight Title and a new champion will be crowned at the World Series Of Fighting 35 as Bekbulat Magomedov faces Timur Valiev, plus Lance Palmer defends the featherweight strap against Andre Harrison.

Moraes, the former bantamweight champion is now a free agent.

Magomedov (17-1-0) has won just one of two fights under the WSOF banner, defeating Jesse Brock and suffering a defeat to Josh Hill. Magomedov started off his professional MMA career on a sixteen fight undefeated streak, an undefeated streak that has lasted over four years.

Valiev (11-2-0) has earned five victories thus far in WSOF competition, with the most notable of wins coming over Adam Acquaviva, Ed West and Chris Gutierrez. The fight against Magomedov will be the first time in over a year’s time that Valiev has fought an opponent not named Chris Gutierrez.

Palmer (11-2-0) will be making the first defense of his championship, which he won by defeating Alexandre Almeida at the WSOF 32. Palmer successfully defended the gold once during his first title reign, that successful defense came over Chris Horodecki at the WSOF 21.

Harrison (15-0-0) has already earned a single victory under the WSOF banner, having defeating Bruce Boyington at the WSOF 34. Harrison is a former Titan Fighting Championships Featherweight Champion, he defended the belt four times before signing with the WSOF in 2016.

World Series Of Fighting 35 takes place on Saturday, March 18 from the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York with Blagoy Ivanov and Shawn Jordan headlining.
