Former UFC lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira, is set to take on top contender Beneil Dariush at UFC 288 on May 6.
The matchup has been rumored to be in the works for weeks, but Oliveira confirmed the booking himself via a post on his official Instagram on Tuesday. However, the promotion itself has yet to officially announce anything regarding the bout or event. Oliveira is 11-1 in his last 12 Octagon outings and will to bounce back from a second-round submission loss to current UFC lightweight champ, Islam Makhachev, back at UFC 280 last October. Dariush meanwhile is on an eight-fight winning streak at the moment and is coming off a unanimous decision victory over, Mateusz Gamrot, also at UFC 280 back in October.
