This third and potentially final battle will get overseen by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) and executive officer Andy Foster.

Foster, in a statement to MMA Fighting, saying that both Liddell and Ortiz will undergo out of competition drug testing before their third encounter:

“Just like there should be drug testing for any high-profile fight, there will be for this one. Chuck Liddell hasn’t fought in some time and hasn’t been part of any drug-testing program recently, as far as I know. We want to make sure the fans are getting a clean, fair contest.”

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) will handle the drug testing process, while the CSAC will hand out any punishments if one or both fighters fail a test. WADA has already tested bothy fighters once, but the results of said tests aren’t known at this time.

Golden Boy MMA: Liddell vs. Ortiz III will take place on Friday, November 24 from The Forum in Inglewood, California with Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on pay-per-view.
