A featherweight division affair is the latest addition to UFC On Fox 22 as Cole Miller will be in action against Mizuto Hirota.
Miller (21-10-0-1NC) has not earned a victory in three years, dropping fights to Max Holloway and Alex Caceres, while fighting Jim Alers to a no contest after an accidental eye poke. Miller has only earned three wins in the last three years under the UFC banner, those wins have come over Bart Palaszewski, Andy Ogle and Sam Sicilia. Miller will be competing on his first “UFC On Fox” card in over a year, his last appearance on a Fox card happened at UFC On Fox 17 in December 2016.
Hirota (17-7-2) is currently winless under the UFC banner, as he dropped bouts to Rani Yahya and Rodrigo Damm, while fighting Teruto Ishihara to a split draw at UFC Fight Night 75. Hirota is currently in the midst of his second run in the UFC, his first run took place in 2013, where he suffered the two defeats. Hirota is also a former Sengoku Featherweight Champion, he defeated Satoru Kitaoka by fourth round TKO in August 2009.
UFC On Fox 22 takes place on Saturday, December 17 from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California with Paige VanZant and Michelle Waterson headlining.
