Conor McGregor Accused Of Assaulting Woman On His Yacht Last Summer In Ibiza

Former two-division UFC champion, Conor McGregor, has been accused of assaulting a woman on his yacht in Ibiza last July.

According to a report from the Spanish news outlet, Ultimate Hora, the alleged victim filed a complaint in Dublin with the Irish police, accusing McGregor of punching and kicking her on his yacht last summer, forcing the 42-year-old woman to flee the vessel.

The woman claims she knew McGregor because they grew up in the same neighborhood in Dublin, and attended the Irishman's birthday celebration on July 16 of last year at the Ocean Beach Club in Ibiza. Then, she alleges that McGregor invited her onto his yacht with a few other people, where he began to insult her appearance, then kicked her in the stomach, punched her in the face, and told the victim "I'm going to drown you, who do you think you are?"

She told police she had to jump in the water to flee McGregor's attack, where eventually a Red Cross boat took her back to shore. The Spanish Civil Guard in Formentera didn't initially formalize any complaint, because the victim declined to identify McGregor when questioned by authorities. However, once she returned home to Ireland, the victim filed a complaint with Garda, Ireland’s police service, now leading to the incident becoming an active investigation.

Representatives for McGregor reached out to MMA Mania to provide the following statement on the accusations towards him.

“Mr. McGregor is steadfast in his denial of all the accusations made by a guest on his boat.”
