UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor is currently preparing for a potential super fight against boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.
However, the fighter can now add another accomplishment to his ever growing list because he now ranks #24 in the Forbes highest paid athletes list for 2017.
According to the Forbes list, the lightweight kingpin earned $34 million in pay, with $27 million of that coming from salary and $7 million coming from endorsements/sponsorship deals.
The top ranked athlete on the list is soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, who earned a total of $93 million in pay.

McGregor is only one of a handful of fighters in the UFC to hold gold in multiple weight divisions, as he is also a former UFC Featherweight Champion. McGregor, other than preparing for a potential boxing super fight, also found time to appear in the Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare video game.
This is quite a move up in the Forbes rankings for the MMA superstar, as he was ranked #85 in last year's list.
Other notable combat sports stars on the list are all boxers in Canelo Alvarez (#43), Anthony Joshua (#89) and Wladimir Klitschko (#99).
