Controversy seemingly follows UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor wherever he goes nowadays.
McGregor was in attendance at today’s Bellator 187 card in Ireland (which airs tonight at 9pm EST. on Spike TV, live coverage right here on Fightful) and he hopped into the cage to celebrate with teammate Charlie Ward.
Ward defeated John Redmond by first round knockout in a fight that will air tonight on the Spike TV tape delayed broadcast.
Bellator MMA put the following up on their Twitter account:

Referee Marc Goddard was officiating the fight and he didn’t take to kindly to the UFC Lightweight Champion hopping into the cage. Goddard told McGregor to leave, which is when thing first got briefly physical before a shouting match occurred between the two.
Goddard and McGregor most recently had a run in at UFC Fight Night Gdansk because the referee told the fighter to go back to his seat as he tried cornering Artem Lobov from the crowd.
Arsenal_MMA posted a video of the altercation from his view in the crowd:

Once the fighter left the cage, then he proceeded to take a victory lap around it while celebrating with his fellow Irishmen and women in attendance.
