Conor McGregor Officially OUT of UFC 303 Main Event Due to Injury, New Main Event Announced

Conor McGregor is officially OUT of UFC 303.

On Thursday night, UFC President, Dana White announced that former two-weight UFC Champion, Conor McGregor has been removed from his scheduled UFC 303 main event against former Bellator king, Michael Chandler.

The reasoning for McGregor's removal is due to an undisclosed injury, with no word mentioned on a potential reschedule date for the bout between he and Chandler.

With the bout cancelation, White announced that UFC Lightweight Champion, Alex Pereira will be defending his title against the main who never lost it, Jiri Prochazka in the card's new main event.

In addition to Pereira vs. Prochazka, it was revealed that former featherweight title challenger, Brian Ortega will face the surgining Diego Lopes in the co-main event of the evening for the June 29th card.

UFC 303 takes place on Saturday, June 29 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
