In 2019, Conor McGregor has been in the news for just about everything excluding a new fight announcement. Well, that trend only continued today.
After announcing his retirement earlier this year, Conor McGregor's fighting future is now slowly becoming clearer. Most scoffed at his initial claim and recently, Dana White has even suggested that McGregor will be back for a summer bout. If that's indeed the intended date, McGregor's latest Instagram post could potentially be something of note.
Sporting a cast, McGregor referenced "intense training and sparring sessions" in news that could further delay the Irishman's return. That remains to be seen though and in truth, McGregor has become rather experienced at fighting through injuries.
In fact, McGregor detailed some of his recent health struggles in a tweet just last month, specifically issues leading up to the fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
I broke my foot 3 weeks out from the bout.

I still marched forward however, and also landed the final blows of the night.
On his blood brother.
I am happy with how the contest went and the lessons learned.
In my fighting and more importantly my preparation.
Time will reveal all. https://t.co/VNxbrfk6qx
It remains unclear when or even if McGregor will fight again but when he does, it's certain to as usual, be a major event in the sporting landscape.
