Conor McGregor Ranks No. 53 On Forbes 2020 Highest Paid Celebrities

Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor may have retired again earlier this year, but that has nott stopped him from ranking up some acclaim from Forbes.

The site, which had already ranked McGregor no. 16 on its 2020 highest-paid athletes, has now ranked him no. 53 in their highest-paid celebrities list for 2020.

Forbes said the following about McGregor in their profile piece on him:

He banked more than $30 million for his first-round knock out of Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone in January 2020.

In 2018, he renewed his sponsorship deal with Reebok, which pays the Irishman some $5 million per year.

McGregor founded Irish whiskey distiller Proper No. Twelve in 2018, and the brand is now available in Ireland, Australia, Canada, Russia and the U.S.

McGregor commented on the accomplishment with a now-deleted tweet on Twitter (via MMA Fighting):
