Conor McGregor and Manny Pacquiao have talked about facing off in the boxing ring for quite some time now and Audie Attar says the fight is a certainty.
Attar recently revealed that the business with Pacquiao will get handled after McGregor faces Dustin Poirier at UFC 257.
“Conor has a fight Jan. 23 against Dustin Poirier,” Attar said in an interview with Bloomberg (via Simon Samano of MMA Junkie). “He’s gonna be handling business against Dustin first, but Conor’s come out and said he wants to fight Manny. Manny’s come out and said he wants to fight Conor. As I’ve stated publicly before, we’ve had conversations. That is a fight that we’re definitely going to make because both fighters want it, and there seems to be interest from the fans all around the world.”
McGregor is winless as a professional boxer, while Pacquiao has earned 62 wins as a professional boxer.
The problem for the potential boxing match between McGregor and Pacquiao could come from UFC President Dana White, who has spoken out against the potential fight in the past, while also threatening to sue Pacquiao when the bout was teased a few months back.
