Cyborg will have her eyes locked in on the winner of Megan/Holm.
The current UFC Women's Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg will have her eyes locked on UFC 225 this weekend as the next possible challenger to her belt may come from the Megan Anderson versus Holly Holm fight. Holly Holm has a bit of history with Cris Cyborg as they squared off this past December at UFC 219 in a fight that concluded with Cyborg winning by unanimous decision and retaining her Women's Featherweight belt.
TMZ Sports caught up with champ to grab her thoughts on the forthcoming bout between her two potential challengers and Cyborg gave her prediction for the fight and also shared that she is training because she is in the dark about when her next fight will be.
"Yeah, I also have to keep training--I don’t know when is going to be my next fight but its probably going to be [the winner] of Holly and Meagan”. She continued, “You know, Megan’s supposed to be contender number one… but [me] and Holly did an amazing fight together, and let’s see what’s going to happen. I think really, personally, I think Holly’s going to beat Megan because she’s got more experience; Megan [is] only one year into fighting. I think its going to be a rematch; me and Holly Holm."
As mentioned, UFC 225 is this weekend and Fightful will have full coverage of the event and there will be a post-show podcast where our very own Sean Ross Sapp will be reviewing the action on the night.
