Former UFC title challenger and commentator, Dan Hardy, is now the new Director of Fighter Operations for PFL Europe.
Hardy announced the news on Wednesday's edition of The MMA Hour with journalist Ariel Helwani. The PFL shortly thereafter confirmed the news themselves via a tweet. The promotion revealed its plans last summer to launch a new European League in 2023, with the first event kicking off on March 25 in Newcastle, England.
"Well, fortunately, the PFL Global Team have done a great job of building the roster this year," Hardy said about what exactly his new role will entail with the PFL. "I'll have some influence on the fighters and the events later in the year. But really I'll take up the reins of the matchmaker and talent scout for 2024. I've already started working at it now. I've started building a database of fighters, kind of a wish list. The people around Europe that I feel are gonna be a good fit for PFL, and that have got a lot of potential. We have so many fighters in Europe, that are just undiscovered."
