Hooker has upped the ante in his quest to fight Poirier, as the fighter has promised to donate half of his show money to Poirier’s charitable organization if Poirier accepts the bout.
That promise was made by Hooker through Twitter:
@DustinPoirier if you take the fight against me I'll donate half my show money to your charity @TheGoodFightFDN @seanshelby UFC Auckland Main Event! ------

There has been no response yet from Poirier, who last competed in the main event of UFC 242, suffering a third round submission loss to UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Along with Poirier, every single fighter who is ranked ahead of Hooker in the UFC Lightweight Division rankings isn't booked for a fight at the moment.
