UFC President Dana White revealed that the promotion is targeting Cardiff, Wales as the host location for the anticipated trilogy bout between UFC welterweight champion, Leon Edwards, and former champ, Kamaru Usman.
White spoke with reporters during the UFC 281 post-fight press conference on Saturday night and explained why he's hopeful that the capital city of the Welsh nation could be the site the company lands on for the Edwards-Usman matchup.
"A lot of people from England have been asking me, 'Cardiff, Cardiff, Cardiff'," White said. "So we're taking a serious look at that. The only thing is Cardiff's outdoors right? They gotta closed roof? I didn't know it was closed roof, cause England's a scary place to have anything outside. I love Cardiff. I love the idea of Cardiff. We'll see if I can get it done, I'm trying."
