Dana White Responds To Demetrious Johnson Wanting $2 Million For Superfight

UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson recently broke the consecutive title defense record when he defeated Ray Borg by submission at UFC 216.

Dana White is the UFC President and he has been dealing with Johnson’s clamoring for a big fight, which the UFC President says he now has in TJ Dillashaw.

“He’s been crying for a long time for a big fight,” White said after the fight. “He’s got his big fight now. You know I’m down for it, because I wanted to do it before. But now it’s even better – because they both have belts.”

Dillashaw just captured the UFC Bantamweight Title for a second time after defeating Cody Garbrandt in the co-main event of UFC 217.

Johnson has stated in the past that he would want a huge sum of money to take part in super fight and the UFC President has a response to that as well.

“He’s a partner in the pay-per-view,” White said. “Let’s see what your pay-per-view does. You’re a partner. Let’s see what you make. Listen, you can’t be in a position where you’re like, ‘I want $2 million. (Expletive) you. I don’t care what you make. I don’t care how much this thing sells. I just want $2 million.’ Go tell your boss you want $2 million. You don’t give a (expletive) what it costs him. See what he says.”

The two champions were rumored to be fighting in the past, but Johnson turned down the fight to defend the title against Borg.
