Dana White Says Brock Lesnar Back In USADA Testing Pool, Facing Daniel Cormier

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion and current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar stormed the Octagon at UFC 226 before shoving newly crowned heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.

UFC President Dana White says Lesnar is already back in the USADA testing pool, as the process started last week.

“So the process has started, they started the process last week,” White said at the UFC 226 post-fight press conference. “I don’t know where they are in the process, but he’s going to pop up on the board here soon, Monday or Tuesday. I don’t know where they are in the process.”

Lesnar still has to serve the remainder of a USADA issued suspension after a pair of failed drug tests in line with UFC 200.

White also says once Lesnar serves his time, a bout with the new UFC Heavyweight Champion will take place.

“Yeah, we’re definitely going to make that fight,” White said. “Lesnar hit me up a couple days ago and says, ‘Sorry I went dark on you, I had some stuff I had to take care of, but I’m going to come to the fight this weekend.’ Okay, see you Saturday. He came here tonight, he was all fired up, if you couldn’t tell. Right when he got to my seat to the side, he was acting like a lunatic. He was fired up and excited for this fight. His gut told him Stipe because he felt that Cormier put too much weight on for this fight, he felt it was going to affect him. It didn’t.”

The current WWE Universal Champion has to finish up his suspension and be a part of the USADA tesing pool for at least six months before the bout with DC could happen, which means the super fight should happen in early 2019.
