After several cancellations and postponements, UFC action could finally be returning on May 9 with UFC 249.

A location hasn’t been revealed for that event at this time, but one place fans will see a lot of future UFC events from is the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“We built the Apex facility next door just in time to save the day from this pandemic,” White told Variety via email. “Live fights will be produced out of there starting next month and for the foreseeable future.”

The UFC Apex was the reported home for the UFC events once the coronavirus pandemic broke out, but the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) put a halt on combat sports and that order is still active at this moment.

Another place the UFC plans on holding events is “Fight Island” and White says that the promotion is getting that ready to go as well.

“We’re going to run through the American fighters pretty quickly, so we have to get that up and ready to roll,” White told Yahoo! Sports’ Kevin Iole.

UFC 249 takes place on Saturday, May 9 from a location to be announced with Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
