Dana White Shocked By The Level Of Disrespect Shown To Donald Cerrone Ahead of UFC 246

Donald Cerrone and former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor will battle in a few weeks in the main event of UFC 246.

A lot of people are picking McGregor to steamroll past Cerrone and UFC President Dana White is shocked by the disrespect shown to Cerrone ahead of the bout.

“The level of disrespect being shown to ‘Cowboy’ through this whole thing...apparently people forgot [how good he is]. ‘Cowboy’ has lost two in a row. But ‘Cowboy’ has lost two in a row and gone on unbelievable runs. So let’s not count ‘Cowboy’ out,” says White to ESPN (via Chisanga Malata of Express.UK).

Cerrone is entering the bout while riding a two fight losing streak, but McGregor hasn’t picked up a victory in over three years.

White is also shocked that there are people out there that are listening to what is being said about Cerrone.

“Nobody is disappointed about Cerrone, I promise you that. I guarantee you it will be the biggest bar business - etc, etc. [It’s] a crock of s**t to say anybody is disappointed about Conor versus Cerrone. Crock of s**t. Crock of s**t. If you look at the way we do our matchmaking, Conor lost his last fight. And Cerrone lost his last fight. These are two top-five guys fighting each other. Don’t listen to the bulls**t,” says White.

UFC 246 takes place on Saturday, January 18 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
