Jon Jones successfully defended the UFC Light Heavyweight Title against Anthony Smith in the main event of UFC 235.

UFC President Dana White knows who he wants to fight Jones next and that fighter is Thiago Santos.

“I love the Thiago Santos fight,” White said at the UFC 235 post-fight news conference (via MMA Junkie). “I love that fight. I would love to see him verse Jon Jones.”

Santos was last seen in action in the main event of UFC Fight Night Prague, defeating Jan Blachowicz by third round TKO.

Jones, who wants to clean out the light heavyweight division, wants to speak with his team before deciding on who to fight next.

“Whoever it may be, I’m ready to take them all,” Jones said after the event (via MMA Junkie). “I think all these younger fighters should get their opportunity at a world title. When you’re sitting in my position, its like, who am I to deny people? I’m not going to talk ahead too much. I’m going to get with my coaches. We are a close, tight-knit family. This career is not mine, it’s all of ours. We’re going to talk about what we want next, who we want to fight next and just play it like that.”

The Brazilian contender is sitting at #4 in the UFC Light Heavyweight Division rankings and is the highest ranked fighter that Jones can fight in the weight class.
