Daniel Cormier became a two division champion at UFC 226 when he scored a first round knockout victory over Stipe Miocic to claim the UFC Heavyweight Title.
Shortly after the bout, current WWE Universal Champion and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar stormed the Octagon before shoving the newly crowned title holder.
A short time after that, UFC President Dana White said that DC will defend the heavyweight strap against Lesnar after Lesnar completes six months of USADA drug testing, which will make the fight a possibility in early 2019.
Bovada has already provided early betting odds for the yet to be officially announced super fight and Cormier opens up as a sizeable favorite over the WWE star. Cormier opens up at -225, while Lesnar comes in at +175, which makes DC a 2 to 1 favorite over the former heavyweight kingpin.
It should be noted that those odds can change drastically until both fighters finally face off in the Octagon.
Lesnar hasn’t competed in the Octagon since initially scoring a decision win over Mark Hunt at UFC 200, but the result was overturned to a no contest after Lesnar failed a pair of drug tests in line with the event.
