Danielle Taylor earned her first victory in the UFC when she defeated Seo Hee Ham at UFC Fight Night 101, but it didn’t come without controversy, as Ham claimed that Taylor poked her in the eye in the third round, something the referee didn’t catch.
“Well, I knew I didn’t – I know I didn’t poke her eye,” Taylor said backstage after the event, courtesy of MMA Junkie. “But I waited. Once the ref gave me the green light, I went. I’m not going to stop. He said go, (so) go. Green means go. It’s a fight.”
However, a screen capture that was put on Twitter by Lady Go! wmma kic box shows the damage done to the eye of Ham by the alleged eye poke.

Ham was actually poked in the eye twice during the three round affair, the referee stopped the fight to first time after Ham claimed injury, but the referee didn’t stop the fight during the apparent infraction.
Neither Ham nor the UFC have commented on the matter.
