Demetrious Johnson Calls Situation With UFC A Misunderstanding

UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson has been at odds with the UFC for quite some time now.

However, the UFC Flyweight Champion is now calling his issues with the UFC a simple misunderstanding.

Conor McGregor Claims He's In Preliminary Agreements With The Ambani Family To Face Logan Paul In A Boxing Match

“I don’t think it’s fair when you have two grown men bicker on the f*cking Internet,” Johnson said on The MMA Hour. “You know what I mean? We’ll end up like Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian. Grown men, they sit down and talk about it, and that’s what we’re going to do in two weeks. It was just a big misunderstanding and we’re going to meet with Dana White. Dana White’s a grown-ass man, I am too, he’s got kids, I got kids, we’re going to sit down and get on the same level and go from there and see what options we have.”

Johnson’s problems with the UFC also grew after the title holder refused to defend the belt against former bantamweight champion TJ Dillasaw. That was a move that lead the UFC President in Dana White to call the flyweight champion insane.

Despite the misunderstanding with the promotion, the flyweight kingpin plans on returning to the Octagon later this year at UFC 215 against Ray Borg.

“I’m fighting this year,” Johnson said. “There’s money to be made, and I want mine.”

The champion last competed at UFC On Fox 24, where he defeated Wilson Reis by submission.
