Demetrious Johnson Goes Off On The UFC

UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson is on the verge of making UFC history, as one more successful title defense will break the record for most successful title defenses in the promotion’s history.

However, as big as a career milestone that would be for the champion, not all is well within the relationship between Johnson and the UFC.

The flyweight kingpin recently posted a long diatribe on Imgur explaining his frustrations with the promotion he calls home.

Johnson last competed in the main event of UFC On Fox 24, as he defeated Wilson Reis by submission to tie the successful title defense record that was held by former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva.

Another issue would arise when UFC President Dana White recently proclaimed that the flyweight champion was “insane” for not accepting a fight with former UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw at UFC 215.

A meeting between champion and promotion has yet to be arranged, but one would think that a meeting would be coming down the pike shortly.
