Derek Brunson vs. Kevin Holland announced for Fight Island
ESPN reports that Derek Brunson (no.7) vs. Kevin Holland (no.10) will fill in for the UFC Fight Night on March 20 main event after Leon Edwards vs. Khamazt Chimaev was called off again. Holland had called out Brunson, saying he wanted to fight him because of the way he strikes, after knocking out Jacare Souza at UFC Vegas 17. Brunson is coming off of a win too after he TKO'd Edmen Shahbazyan in August.

Canelo Alvarez to face Avni Yildirim in next bout
Eddy Reynoso, Canelo Alvarez's long-term confidant has revealed he will face mandatory World Boxing Council contender Avni Yildirim on February 27 in Guadalajara, Mexico, reports the LA Times. Alvarez is coming off of a win over Callum Smith in December. The report states "venues such as Estadio Jalisco and Los Charros’ Baseball Stadium are under consideration for the fight." Yildirim will be looking to pull off one of the biggest upsets in boxing, especially as he most recently lost to Anthony Dirrell via technical decision.
Jason Witt to take on Matthew Semelsberger on UFC Fight Night: March 13
Jason Witt will take on Matthew Semelsberger on March 13. "The Vanilla Gorilla" announced on his Instagram that he will take on Semelsberger, looking to build on his submission victory against Cole Williams at UFC Fight Night 181. Semelsberger meanwhile will be looking to go 2-0 in the UFC after defeating Carlton Minus at UFC on ESPN 15.
Alex Caceres vs. Kevin Croom to face off at UFC Fight Night: Reyes vs. Prochazka
Alex Caceres will be looking to continue his winning streak, when he takes on Kevin Croom on February 27 at UFC Fight Night: Reyes vs. Prochazka. Caceres is undefeated in his last three fights with the UFC, while Croom will be looking to build on a submission win over Roosevelt Roberts, although the fight was ruled a no-contest after he tested positive for marijuana.
Dalcha Lungiambula vs. Isi Fitikefu rumored for January 20
Dalcha Lungiambula vs. Isi Fitikefu is set for UFC: Fight Island 8, according to Marcel Dorff. Lungiambula was last seen at UFC Fight Night 163 when he lost to Magomed Ankalaev when he was TKO'd in the 3rd round. Fitikefu will be making his UFC debut and will be looking to maximize his opportunity.
