Desmond Green Rules Out Featherweight Return

MMA

Former Titan Fighting Championships Featherweight Champion Desmond Green will be making his UFC debut this Saturday Night at UFC 210.

Green feels that he must win on Saturday Night or the UFC will just make him a feeder fighter.

Dark Side Of The Cage To Premiere In January, Will Cover Ronda Rousey, Matt Hughes, Kimbo Slice, More

“A lot is at stake,” Green said on MMA Junkie Radio. “The UFC is going to decide whether they want to push me as an up-and-coming star or a feeder fighter. I’m excited. I know I’m going to finish this guy. He has nothing on me. I’m going to show people why they call me ‘The Savage.’ He’s getting knocked out or TKO’d. It’s not going 15 minutes.”

Josh Emmett will be the fighter who is welcoming Green into the Octagon at UFC 210.

One thing Green knows for sure is that he will never compete at featherweight again, despite his success previously in the division.

“I’ll never go back to 145,” he said. “That was hell making that weight; I had to cut my (dreadlocks) twice.”

UFC 210 takes place on Saturday, April 8 from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York with Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson headlining. Fightful will be providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
