Donald Trump Congratulates Tito Ortiz After Combate Americas Victory

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz scored a first round submission win over former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio in the main event of Combate Americas: Tito vs. Alberto.

Ortiz donned some Trump 2020 logos on his fight gear and after the win, even received a congratulations from President Donald Trump.

Trump issued that congratulations via Twitter:

This isn’t the first time Trump has been involved in MMA in some fashion, as the President Of The United States recently attended UFC 244, was part of a documentary about his role in the sport and hosted several UFC events in the Trump Taj Mahal a long time ago.

The victorious Ortiz has yet to respond to Trump, at least through social media, and is now in the midst of a three fight winning streak. Del Rio, on the other hand, is in the midst of a two fight losing streak and he hasn’t won a bout in nearly a decade.
