Dustin Poirier was reportedly set to face Tony Ferguson at UFC 254, but the UFC did not meet the financial demands from Poirier and the bout was called off.
It appears now that the UFC and Poirier have both been satisfied, as Poirier has taken to Twitter to hint at a return to action:

Poirier, who is reportedly fighting Conor McGregor in a charity fight on December 12, has not competed since defeating Dan Hooker by unanimous decision in a five-round war in June. Although Poirier does hint at a return to action, no opponent or date have been revealed by the fighter at this time.
