It didn't take long for Erin Blanchfield to find a new opponent for UFC 269 in Miranda Maverick.
MMA Junkie was the first to report that Maverick will be replacing Maycee Barber against Blanchield. Barber was pulled from the fight due to undisclosed reasons. She was supposed to face Montana De La Rosa at the event, but the latter pulled out due to injury.
Maverick, 24, is ranked 15th in the UFC's flyweight rankings. She made her MMA debut in 2016. Competing for Invicta FC, Maverick made her UFC debut in 2020. Maverick would lose a five-fight win streak against Barber in July via a controversial decision.
Blanchfield made her MMA debut in 2018. She made her UFC debut in September, beating Sarah Alpar via unanimous decision. The 22-year-old is currently on a four-fight win streak.
UFC 269 takes place inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main event will see Charles Oliveira defend the UFC Lightweight Title against Dustin Poirier. The co-main event will see UFC Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes defend her title against Julianna Pena.
