The fight boxing fans have been waiting years for, finally has come to fruition.
ESPN's Mike Coppinger was the first to report the news on Tuesday that undefeated welterweight champions, Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford have agreed to a deal for an undisputed title clash on July 29 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both fighters themselves additionally confirmed the booking via separate social media postings on Thursday. Spence Jr. is the reigning WBA, WBC, and IBF welterweight champ, sitting at 28-0 as a pro currently, and is coming off of a tenth-round TKO victory over former WBA champion, Yordenis Ugás back in April 2022. Crawford meanwhile has been the WBO welterweight champion since June 2018 and is 39-0 as a pro. He defeated former interim WBA welterweight champ, David Avanesyan, via a sixth-round KO last December in his most recent outing.
