Andrea Lee remained undefeated under the UFC banner after getting a decision win over Ashlee Evans-Smith at UFC Fight Night Phoenix.

The fighter has been dealing with a lot of professional and personal issues in the last year, which made the win at UFC Phoenix that much better in the end.

“There really was (a weight lifted off my shoulders), I was just standing there before my hand got raised and I was just trying like…there was a moment I was like ‘ahhh.’ I said the F word, I was just like ‘fuck.’ It actually feels good and in that moment, I just felt that weight being lifted,” says Lee in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.

Lee has now picked up two wins under the UFC banner, with the other coming over Veronica Macedo at UFC Fight Night Chile.

A victorious Lee now looks towards the future and her next Octagon appearance could come during International Fight Week.

“(I would like to return) maybe in the summer, I think that would be good…have a summer fight… International Fight Week…that could be nice, that would be really cool. I would kind of like to go down there and enjoy it as a fan, maybe I would fight to…but I haven’t really thought about it. I really wanna fight in the summer and take my daughter, I’m hoping she could go with me…she needs it,” says Lee.

There has been no announcement by the UFC yet concerning International Fight Week 2019, but that event typically takes place in July of each year.
