Don Madge was last seen in action at UFC Fight Night Moncton, defeating Te Edwards by second round knockout.
The lightweight prospect not only picked up a win in his UFC debut, but put South African MMA on the map.
“Its been amazing, the reception that I got from the win was unbelievable. I feel like I finally put South African MMA on the map and I represented my country and I represented my team in the correct way, I’m sure that the new generation coming out of South Africa…we will…we’re savages. You know what I mean?” says Madge in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.
Madge is now in the midst of a five fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in nearly four years.
UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cyborg opened a lot of doors for Madge, which is something the fighter is eternally grateful for.
“Oh man, like unbelievable. Honestly, she helped me so much in my career just to get where I am right now. From getting me out on her social media to helping me with getting into the UFC, even having me as a part of her camp opened so many doors. I’m eternally grateful to her and to everyone out there,” says Madge.
There is no word yet on when Madge will fight again in the UFC, but the fighter did say that he’d like to fight again in March.
