Oddsmakers and fighters are split on the UFC Fight Island 5 headliner but Eddie Alvarez, Vicente Luque and Johnny Walker have faith in Marlon Moraes against Cory Sandhagen.
Alvarez, Luque and Walker spoke with Fightful ahead of UFC Fight Island 5. The trio submitted their predictions for the Fighters Predict series and sided with the former UFC bantamweight title challenger.
"Marlon Moraes, that's my mini-me, all day," Alvarez asserted. "All day."
"I gotta go with Marlon," Walker added. "He has looked great in every single fight of his, even the ones he loses. He's a tough guy, he's quick, he has great striking. I really enjoy guys who have striking like he does. I see a quick knockout for him. I think he gets back on track to fight for that title."
Much like Walker did, Luque praised Moraes as an all-around threat.
"Marlon Moraes. He is a really tough guy. He fought against really high-level guys," Luque shared. "He has a lot of experience. I know the way he fights. He has power, he can knock people out, he can submit people. He is very dangerous and very efficient."
