It appears Bellator 241 will not be happening, even behind closed doors.

Tonight's show, set to feature Patricio Pitbull defending the Featherweight crown against Pedro Carvalho, was announced as taking place behind closed doors this week. The plans had called for the event at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut.

Instead, Fightful has learned that the show has been postponed, with several personnel, and distributors being informed of the news around 1:15 PM EST. As is the case with most professional sports right now, the postponement is taking place because of COVID-19.

The fights on the show, which included the likes of Leslie Amith, Matt Mitrione, Emmanuel Sanchez, Daniel Weichel, Nick Newell and Paul Daley, will be rescheduled.

Fightful tweeted out the news shortly after.

We're told a press release is expected shortly. Fightful reached out to Bellator, and haven't heard back in an official capacity.

As of now, UFC's Fight Night event in Brazil is still scheduled to take place Saturday night with no fans in  attendance
