Exclusive: UFC 219's Marc Diakiese Aiming For Another KO Win Against Dan Hooker, Talks ATT Training And Move

Marc Diakiese came into the UFC with a ton of hype and delivered on it quickly, but after a close split decision loss in July, he's looking to rebound for the first time in his MMA career.

Diakiese is now training at American Top Team in Florida to help make strides in his career. When speaking to Fightful.com's James Lynch, he revealed some of the adjustments he's had to make in his everyday life.

"It's totally different. I'm just trying to get used to these different rules. I got a ticket for passing a stop sign because I didn't know what it was," Diakiese said while laughing. "He didn't let me off. We don't have (some of this stuff) in the UK. I'll get used to it. Basically I'm at the gym at ATT at the moment, but I'm living here full time." 

The UK-born star was matched up with fellow top prospect Drakkar Klose at the TUF 25 finals in July. To this day, Diakiese doesn't agree with his split decision loss. 

"I thought it could have been a draw. I understand, it is what it is, I'm just going to move on. I look forward to performing," said Diakiese, before telling us that his weight cut for December is going well.

A quick turnaround is also in the cards for Diakiese, who said that he hopes to compete in London in March. As for December 30, he isn't hiding his intent.

"I'm going to knock him out. That's the plan, and that's what I'm doing to do," said Diakiese.
