Exclusive: UFC's Arjan Bhullar Talks Friendship With Jinder Mahal, Possible Move To WWE, Upcoming Fight

Arjan Bhullar made his presence felt in the UFC in September at UFC 215 by winning in his UFC debut at UFC 215, but he'd also made some headlines due to his friendship with then-WWE Champion Jinder Mahal.

Mahal was set to walk Bhullar out to the cage for his September fight. Unfortunately, due to hurricanes near Mahal's home around the time, he was unable to make it. When Fightful.com's James Lynch asked Bhullar about the possibility of Mahal being there for his April fight, Bhullar wasn't sure.

"I still gotta reach out for him. I know he's getting ready for WrestleMania, it's the week before. We've got a couple of exciting things coming out. He's a good dude. We text each other frequently and stay up to date. His schedule is just so crazy. He's always on the road. If he can come out, that's great, if not, he knows I wish him the best always," said Bhullar.

Although in the past Bhullar has said that speaking to Jinder about the schedule led him to not leap into the world of professional wrestling, he clarified to Lynch that he's open to it these days.

"I've been a big fan of that world for a long, long time. It makes sense with Jinder there, you may as well have two guys taking this thing over. I wouldn't be able to dedicate a full time schedule, I don't think. I'd have to figure that out. Talking to Jinder, he's home 10 or 12 days out of the year. That's crazy. Ronda's in there, and she's on board, that's great. I hope one day to test the waters as well. (Tagging with Jinder) seems like a logical fit. I'm not in creative over there, but we'll see what they come up with," said Bhullar.

Bhullar returns to the cage at UFC on Fox on April 14 against Adam Wieczorek. Bhullar told Lynch that after a victory, he hopes for a quick victory and wants to fight again in July for International Fight Week.

Arjan Bhullar (7-0) discusses his upcoming fight against Adam Wieczorek (9-1) at UFC on FOX 29 on Apr. 14. Arjan also talks about attending a Phoenix Suns game over the weekend, becoming a new father, his training camp, his friendship with Jinder Mahal and a potential jump to the WWE.
