In November, Zak Ottow will fight in his fourth country in just under 14 months.
In facing Li Jingliang at UFC Fight Night: Silva vs. Gastelum, Ottow hopes to stop a three-fight winning streak of his opponent, but he knows it won't be easy.
"I see a lot of different ways. I'm always visualizing and playing out the fight. I could see it being an early stoppage, or a three round grind out fest. I'm really not sure, but I'm preparing for the worst," said Ottow.
Ottow sits at 2-1 in the UFC, and told Fightful that his contract is up after November 25. A win could put him in a prime spot for free agency, but he seems keen on heading back to the UFC.
"This is my last fight on my current contract, so I'm looking to go in there and win and re-sign," Ottow told Fightful.com "Keep moving myself up the ladder. I'm about to be 31. I still have plenty of time competing, there are still some things I want to work on before I'm ready for any top ten guy. I'm looking a little ahead of me in the rankings and trying to move up ten spots at a time."
Ottow specified that he'd like to take on a veteran of at least ten UFC fights if he gets past Li and re-signs.
In the full interview, Zak Ottow (15-4) discusses his upcoming fight against Jingliang Li (13-4) at UFC Fight Night 122 on Nov. 25. Zak also talks about fighting overseas for the third straight fight, his training camp and this being the last fight on his UFC contract.
