Jessamyn Duke Starts Pro Wrestling Training

Former UFC Fighter Jessamyn Duke is making the move to pro wrestling.

Duke is no stranger to the wrestling world. Her roommate Shayna Baszler is a competitor in the Mae Young Classic, and fellow "Four Horsewomen" member Marina Shafir is engaged to NXT's Roderick Strong. Of course former training partner Ronda Rousey has also had ties to wrestling.

Duke has started her training at Santino Bros. Pro Wrestling School in California and she tells us she attended a seminar hosted by NJPW wrestler Rocky Romero. Adam Cole told Fightful.com last year that he was pushing for Duke to get involved:

"I've talked to her before about if she wants to get into it. She seems to have her heart set on continuing to fight, but I've even offered to train her if she wants to get involved and have a match or two. I guess we can hope and wait for that day," Cole said.

Duke had a tough run in MMA after moving west following The Ultimate Fighter 18, dropping five straight fights. She last competed in July 2016. Fightful has been told WWE has maintained an interest in Duke for years.
