Kristina Williams kept her undefeated record intact at Bellator 195, pulling out a split decision win over Emily Ducote.
Some fighters may feel plenty of nerves competing in just their second professional MMA fight, but those nerves disappeared for Williams once she got in the cage.
“I definitely had a lot more nerves in the locker room, but once I got in the cage…I was ready to go. I definitely did feel it more beforehand though,” Williams said in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.
Williams already had the spotlight on her before the encounter with Ducote, especially after she earned a TKO victory over Heather Hardy at Bellator 185.
Despite wins over both Hardy and Ducote, one thing Williams wants to get in the future is some more experience before more high profile encounters.
“I think it (the win over Ducote) puts me pretty high up (in the rankings), but I’m still only 2-0. I definitely think I have ways to go and a lot more experience to get it,” says Williams.
Bellator MMA has yet to announce whats next for Williams, who only started fighting less than a year ago as an amateur before turning pro in late 2017.
