Terrion Ware is back in action in just a few short weeks at UFC Fight Night London, with his opponent on that evening being Tom Duquesnoy.
The bantamweight contender is also going to be fighting overseas for the first time, which is something he has looked forward to for quite some time.
“Absolutely, I always wanted to travel the world just in general, fighting has gotten me to a bunch of places in the states. Ultimately going international was a goal to, so I get to knock it off the bucket list to,” says Ware in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.
Ware faces Duquesnoy in London, so the fighter isn’t just competing overseas for the first time, but is also looking to pick up that coveted first UFC win as well.
One thing that affects some fighters who compete internationally is the weight cutting during travel, but Ware doesn’t foresee a problem with this as he goes overseas for the first time.
“I’ve heard people talk about that and people have told me, especially when I first start flying out, be careful with retaining the water. But its weird for me, every time I get off the plane, I have to go to the bathroom a lot. I drain a lot water…its weird, I don’t know if its just me when the case may be. Weight cuts are never really an issue for me, I train hard and I eat right. I’m going to stay well hydrated and do what I normally do…hydrate before the plane ride, during the plane ride and when I get off. Usually it (the weight) comes off easily, my weight hasn’t been an issue at all…I don’t blow up in between camps,” says Ware.
UFC Fight Night London takes place on Saturday, March 17 from the 02 Arena in London, England with Fabricio Werdum and Alexander Volkov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
