Vitor Belfort will no longer fight Alain Ngalani and will instead turn his attention to legends like Evander Holyfield and Wanderlei Silva.
Belfort is currently training for his ONE Championship debut and sees a host of potential opponents. "The Phenom" was originally expected to former Muay Thai champion Ngalani, but told Fightful that no longer interests him.
"No," Belfort said when asked if he was still fighting Ngalani. "People want to see legends fight. That's what they want to see. I want to do fights where people really want to see it, they really want to pay for. You know what I mean? I don't want to put on a fight that people don't want to pay for."
Two potential legends Belfort has in mind are Silva and Holyfield.
"We already reached out to him, my agents," Belfort said of Silva. "You gotta come fight in ONE. Chatri [Sityodtong] said okay. He better start getting prepared because I'm right here on the grind. We don't just have Wanderlei on the horizon but we have Holyfield. We have everyone on aim. I'm aiming for all these legends. I'm looking forward to bringing something that has never been done before."
Holyfield announced plans to un-retire in May. Silva recently signed with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship but has teased a fight with Belfort.
