Floyd Mayweather Defeats Conor McGregor, Wins The “Money Fight”

It is all over because the legendary Floyd Mayweather has reached 50-0 with a 10th round TKO victory over UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.

The fight marked the return from retirement for Mayweather, while McGregor was making his pro boxing debut.

McGregor looked good early on, but faded as the fight went on and that’s when Mayweather took over with power strikes to get the 10th round finish. McGregor said in the post-fight interview that he thought the stoppage was early, neither fighter got dropped in the ten rounds of action.

Mayweather officially announced his retirement again and McGregor’s future in boxing is unknown at this time. McGregor did say he would return to the UFC, but didn’t announce a specific date or time frame.

Round 10: McGregor starts throwing several punches but they hardly land. McGregor is on the corner and he is getting rocked by Mayweather. This goes on for several dozen seconds and the referee stopped the fight. Mayweather is now 50-0.
