The Titan Fighting Championships Flyweight Title will be defended at Titan FC 43 as champion Jose Torres defends against Pedro Nobre.
Torres (3-0-0) will be making the first defense of his championship, which he won by defeating Abdiel Velazquez at Titan FC 40. Torres has spent his entire professional MMA career under the Titan FC banner, his other wins in the promotion have come over the duo of Reynaldo Duarte and Travis Taylor. Torres fought a grand total of seventeen times as an amateur, capturing five titles during that run as an amateur.
Nobre (17-3-1) has previously challenged for the Titan FC Flyweight Title, but he lost that opportunity to UFC veteran Tim Elliott at Titan FC 37. Nobre did fight once under the UFC banner, fighting Iuri Alcantara to a no contest at UFC On FX: Bisping vs. Belfort. Nobre has also won just one fight in the last two years, that win came over Sidney Bice at Titan FC 38.
Titan Fighting Championships 43 takes place on Saturday, January 21 from the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida with Jose Torres and Pedro Nobre headlining, Fightful’s own Showdown Joe has done color commentary for the promotion in the past.
