Sergio Da Silva, a fighter who competed for both Bellator and Cage Fury Championships, has passed away.
Da Silva passed away late last week. The news was first reported by MyMMANews and subsequently confirmed by Da Silva's longtime friend Jared Gordon. The fighter will be laid to rest Sunday in New York City, according to Gordon.
Sad news in the MMA community today as I am learning of the passing of Sergio Da Silva. "The Savage" fought for promotions such as Bellator, CFFC, CES, Ring of Combat, and others. He was just 34 years of age.

Da Silva was most recently in the news in 2017 when he was convicted of third-degree robbery. The case was particularly notable due to the support Da Silva received from famed Gambino crime boss John Gotti Jr.
Details as to the circumstances of his passing have been withheld due to privacy concerns.
